Wear plate - Extremely hard steel plate

Extremely hard and hard-wearing steel plates

Very durable and damage-resistant

Rusts to a reddish brown colour

Can be cut with an angle grinder

Made in Denmark

Weight: A plate measuring 1000 x 1000 x 1 mm weighs 8 kg., i.e. 1 cm3 weighs 0.008 kg.

Used in machines for wear parts, shovels for tractors and other places where high demands are placed on wear resistance.

Hard-wearing plates can vary in appearance. They can look similar to regular steel plates, but can also have a thin layer of reddish brown paint (see photo). The plates have the same properties regardless of appearance, and both types will rust over time.

Wear plates are very hard plates that are difficult to leave marks on, and which provide unrivalled wear resistance. For this reason, amongst others, it is often this type of steel that is used in containers and truck bodies on vehicles that transport stone and other materials from building sites and gravel pits.

Wear plates can be cut with an angle grinder.

Iron or metal plates can be used both indoors and outdoors, but will rust over time when they come into contact with moisture in the air. For this reason, they will rust faster outdoors. If you wish to, you can advance the rusting process by adding water to the plate.

The iron plates may have surface rust upon delivery, which can be removed with a wire brush or sandpaper.

Thicknesses: 6-40 mm
